DEZ

DEZ é uma especulação fabulosa (speculative fabulation, Donna Haraway), uma proposta de celebração da vida no planeta Terra, através das mídias da dança e da coreografia, e que resulta no projeto conceitual de uma partitura coreográfica como uma mandala para ser ativada. Acreditamos que os povos do mundo e o planeta estão pedindo essa natureza de celebração pela vida, pela sua potência, dignidade e infinito potencial. É uma mensagem de paz, de harmonia, de consideração por cada ser humano vivo agora, cada ser vivente, animado ou inanimado.

O nosso ethos, dentro da fabulação proposta aqui, aborda a ideia de universo como uma estrutura comum a todas as culturas, uma ideia que pode unir, justapor, sobrepor imagens de culturas diferentes no tempo e no espaço. O método de justaposição e da relação entre as imagens são uns dos mais importantes legados deixados por Aby Warburg, e que é conhecido por ter aberto a história da arte e os discursos culturais para além das linearidades narrativas para aquilo que é nomeado por Didi-Huberman (2013) como “a colisão de temporalidades heterogêneas” e a migração das formas através das culturas.

Segundo a antropóloga Els Lagrou, sobre o significado do desenho na cultura ameríndia, ele circunscreve o ser humano no mundo, se não ele se perde. Os grafismos são como tecnologias específicas – os grafismos no corpo, a não distinção entre figura e fundo nas imagens. Os desenhos têm o poder de agência, de mediação entre a virtualidade e o corpo. O padrão gráfico em movimento tem o potencial de restaurar agência nos indivíduos, entre o gerar e o degenerar. A imagem como movimentos do visível e do invisível.

DEZ is a speculation (speculative fabulation, Donna Haraway), a proposal to celebrate life on Earth, through the mediums of dance and choreography. This resulting in the conceptual project of a choreographic score as a mandala to be activated. We believe that the peoples of the world and the planet are calling for this nature of celebration for life, for its potency, dignity, and infinite potential. It's a message of peace, harmony, and consideration for every living human being now, every living entity, animate or inanimate.

Our ethos, within the fabulation proposed here, addresses the idea of the universe as a structure common to all cultures, an idea that can unite, juxtapose, overlay images of different cultures in time and space. The method of juxtaposition and the relationship between the images are some of the most important legacies left by Aby Warburg, and which is known to have opened up art history and cultural discourses beyond narrative linearities to what is named by Didi-Huberman (2013) as “the collision of heterogeneous temporalities” and the migration of forms across cultures.

According to anthropologist Els Lagrou, regarding the meaning of drawing in Amerindian culture, it circumscribes the human being in the world; otherwise, he becomes lost. The graphics are like specific technologies – the body graphics, the lack of distinction between figure and background in images. Drawings have the power of agency, of mediation between virtuality and the body. The moving graphic pattern has the potential to restore agency in individuals, between generating and degenerating. The image as movements of the visible and the invisible.
